Going Backdoor

When an offensive player wants to play with another offensive player, he will throw him the ball.  If the receiver of the ball is covered, the passer will take the ball over to him with the dribble.

If the receiver is overplayed and unable to receive the ball, he will cut to the basket (always going through the backdoor, never the front door!) looking for return pass.

If the passer is really good, he will throw the backdoor pass off the dribble so the defense can't react or set up to make the steal.  If the passer is not a great passer then he needs to be cautious in making this pass:  he might need to pass it with two hands, he might need to throw a two handed over-the-top pass and he has to be prepared to not pass it if he feels that the pass would be too dangerous.
